E-phenology is an initiative led by professor Patricia Morellato and professor Ricardo Torres. Lots of students were involved in this project and there are amazing opportunities for improvements (sky is the limit here...). My contribution along with other graduate students was to deliver reusable componentized software for them and oversee for the overall architecture and performance. My interest was to investigate and build a reusable componentized software architecture (especially, components and aspects) that could deal with their requirements. This is a real world case study which most of data collection applications face in the field. Thanks to Edson, professor Ricardo Torres and Patricia for the collaboration in this case study. As a result, an application was created, an overall architecture was proposed, and a paper was published with promising results.
